HEART TREMBLING STORY

Sayyiduna Umar bin Abdul Aziz (Allah be pleased with him) once went to the graveyard with the funeral where he sat pondering.
Someone asked him, “Why are you sitting in astonishment next to this grave?”
He replied, “This grave called out to me and said, “Why don’t you ask me what I do to the people who come into me.”
I said to the grave, “Do tell me.”
The grave said, “When a person comes inside me, I rip off his shroud and then rip the persons body to pieces and eat his meat. Are you not going to ask me what I do with the joints?”
I said, “Do tell me.”
The grave said, “I separate the hands from the wrists, the knees from the calves and the calves from the feet”.”

After saying this, Sayyiduna Umar (Allah be pleased with him) began to cry. When he stopped crying, he said, “My dear brothers! We are to live in this world for a short period. Those who are sinners in this world and still hold high status will be disgraced in the Hereafter. Those who are envied in this world because of their wealth will be hated in the Hereafter due to their actions. The one who is young will grow old and the one who is alive will die. This world will deceive you because you are aware that it will soon depart. Where are those individuals who recited the Qur’an? Where are those who went to the house of Allah to perform Hajj? Where are those who fasted in Ramadan? What did the earth do with their bodies? What did the insects of the grave do to their flesh? What happened to their bones and joints? I swear in the name of Allah ! In the world, they slept on soft beds but now they have left behind their families, their wives have remarried, their children are suffering in the streets and their families have shared the inheritance amongst themselves. Amongst these are those fortunate ones who are successful in their graves and some are being punished. How sad! Oh foolish! Today at the time of your fathers, your sons or brothers death, you close their eyes, you bathe them, you wrap them in a shroud, you carry their body on your shoulder, you go along with the funeral procession and you bury them in the grave. (Remember! This will soon be happening to you.)

How I wish I knew which cheek would rot first (in the grave).” After saying this, Sayyiduna Umar (Allah be pleased with him) started crying until he fell unconscious. He departed from this world a week later. (Raud-ul-Faaiq, P138, Dar-ul-Kutubul Ilmiyyah Beirut)

Hujja-tul-Islam Imaam Muhammad Ghazali writes in Ihya-ul-Uloom, “At the time of his death, Sayyiduna Umar (Allah be pleased with him) was reciting,

Translation Kanzul-Imaan: This abode of the Hereafter - We make it for those who do not wish greatness in the land nor turmoil; and the Hereafter is only for the pious. (Sura Qasas: 83) (Ihya-ul-Uloom, V4, P510, Dar-ul-Kutubul Ilmiyyah Beirut)

ROYAL DEATH

Dear Islamic Brothers! This heart trembling incident of Sayyiduna Umar bin Abdul Aziz (Allah be pleased with him) is a big lesson for the intelligent. Listen to an incident of a royal death. Hujja-tul- Islam Sayyiduna Imaam Muhammad Ghazali (Allah be pleased with him) states in Ihya-ul-Uloom, “At the time of death of caliph Abdul Malik Marwan, he was asked, “How do you feel?” He replied, “I feel just like Allah says in the Holy Qur’an, Sura Al-An’aam, verse 95, Translation Kanzul-Imaan: And indeed you have now come to Us alone as We had created you at first, and you have left behind you all the wealth and riches We had bestowed upon you. (Ihya-ul-Uloom, V4, P510, Dar-ul-Kutubul Ilmiyyah Beirut)

WHAT DOES THE DECEASED SAY

Sayyiduna Umar Farooq-e-Azam (Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Beloved of Allah (SalAllaho alaihe waahlayhi wasallam) said, “When the dead is being taken away by people on their shoulder, just after the third step, the dead person starts talking. His voice his heard by all those who Allah azzawajal wishes except for Jinn and humans. The dead person says, “Oh my brothers! Oh you people who are lifting my body! Don’t let this would deceive you like it deceived me, don’t let this world play you like it did with me. Whatever I have earned in this world, I have left behind for my successors. On the day of Judgement, Allah will take my account accordingly even though you are calling and crying for me”. (Shar-hus-Sudoor, P96, Dar-ul- Kutubul Ilmiyyah Beirut)

THE DECEASED AND THE GHASSAL

THE DECEASED AND THE GHASSAL

The well known scholar Sayyiduna Sufyan Thauri (Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when a person dies, he is aware of everything that is happening to him and whilst people are giving ghusl to his body, he says, “I beg you in the name of Allah, be gentle with my delicate body” and when he is at his funeral, he is told to listen to what the people he knew have to say about him. (Shar-hus-Sudoor, P95, Dar-ul-Kutubul Ilmiyyah Beirut)

Solution for Conflicts

Satan will never want anyone to read the following letter, but begin in the name of Allah عَزَّوَجَل and do not let Satan succeed

بسم الله الرحمٰن الرَّحيم ط This salaam is from Muhammad Ilyas Attar Qadiri Razavi عفي عنه to the Nigraan, members of the Majlis-e-Mushawarat and responsible brothers of the international non-political religious movement Dawat-e-Islami of the Qur’an and Sunnah in ……….(The city name of the European country has been removed.). It is a salaam that clears hatred and spreads love; reaching you after kissing the illuminated turban of our Dear Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْه وَاٰله وَسَلَّم and his blessed tresses and after wandering through the streets of Madina,

السلام عليکم ور حمة الله وبَرَ کاته

الحمد لله ربِّ العٰلمين عليٰ کلِّ حال

Excellence of Durood Shareef

The Master of Madina and the peace of our hearts صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْه وَاٰله وَسَلَّم said, "If two Muslims, who love each other for the sake of Allah عَزَّوَجَل, meet each other, shake hands and send Durood upon the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْه وَاٰله وَسَلَّم, before they depart from each other their previous sins are forgiven. (Musnad Abi Ya’la - Musnad Anas bin Malik, Hadith 2951, V3, P95)

صَلُّوْا عَلَى الْحَبيْب!ْ صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالىٰ عَلىٰ مُحَمَّد

Oh Allah عَزَّوَجَل! Grant us all the privilege of remaining active in the Madani work of the Sunnah inspired movement Dawat-e-Islami. Oh Allah عَزَّوَجَل! Forgive all our shortcomings and cleanse our hearts from enmity for Muslims. Oh Allah عَزَّوَجَل! Forgive us and the whole Ummah of our Madani Master

Do not make yourself worthy of Hell!

With good intentions, I am taking this opportunity to earn myself the privilege of protecting Muslims from personal conflict, helping put a stop to upcoming problems due to severe criticism amongst brothers despite reconciling time after time and to prevent any damage to major religious activities as a consequence of these quarrels, to earn the pleasure of Allah عَزَّوَجَل and reward for the afterlife. If you brothers take in mind my Madani requests, study this letter every month for at least 12 months or get all responsible brothers together and read it out to them. In’shaa-Allah عَزَّوَجَل you will all succeed in perfuming Islamic society as fragrant flowers of Attar’s garden forever. However, if my suggestions are ignored and instead of rectifying those who are wrong according to the movement’s policies, (In cases of conflict, Dawat-e-Islami requires that first an attempt has to be made to rectify the responsible individual on a personal level. If this does not solve the problem, you should approach your local, divisional, city, provisional and then national Nigraan in the mentioned sequence within the boundaries of Shariah. If the problem still remains, considering you live outside of Pakistan, you should seek assistance from the member of the International Affairs Department (Majlis-e-Bain-ul-Aqwaami Umoor) in Pakistan who deals with your particular country. If the problem still remains, you should approach the Central Consultation Board (Markazi Majlis-e-Shura) in Pakistan who will make the final decision which must be accepted by every Islamic brother, unless there is a valid Islamic reason not to do so. No member of any Majlis of Dawat-e-Islami is beyond the boundaries of Shariah; every Muslim must abide by the rules of Shariah.) you spread things amongst yourselves without a proper reason and you continue to fight and argue amongst yourselves then you will, Allah عَزَّوَجَل forbid, continue to make yourself worthy of Hell due to hatred, backbiting, spreading rumours, heartbreaking, exposing faults, suspicions and other causes of disaster. I hope this bayan, that has been compiled with the aid of the blessings of the Holy Qur’an and the blessed sayings of the Messenger of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ و صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْه وَاٰله وَسَلَّم by my sinful self, will affect your hearts and minds and result in reconciliation. In’shaa-Allah عَزَّوَجَل my requests will not go to waste. Allah عَزَّوَجَل says in the Holy Qur’an, Sura Dhariyaat, verse 55,

Translation Kanzul-Imaan: And advise, for advice benefits the Muslims.

Satan creates arguments

Dear Islamic Brothers! Remember! The accursed Satan causes conflicts amongst Muslims, makes them fight and kill each other and prevents them from reconciliation. What often happens is that if a concerned Islamic brother intervenes and makes things better, Satan will implant suspicions and make things worse again. Warning us against the attempts of the wretched Satan, Allah عَزَّوَجَل says in the 53rd verse of Sura Bani Israeel,

Translation Kanzul-Imaan: Undoubtedly Satan sows discord among them

In the 91st verse of Sura Ma’ida, we are warned:

Translation Kanzul-Imaan: The devil only seeks to instil hatred and enmity between you.

Anger causes problems

Muslims should make sure that this mischief making and disastrous attempt of Satan goes to waste. Indeed, there are many dangers in the world and in the afterlife caused by personal conflicts. A person who loses his temper very quickly often causes mischief. People with short tempers should be warned on losing control of himself for the sake of ego and disobeying the commands of Allah عَزَّوَجَل as it could throw him into the deep ditches of Hell. Have a look at the punishment for anger and make efforts to save yourself from the torment of Hell.

A particular door of Hell

The Beloved Prophet of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ و صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْه وَاٰله وَسَلَّم said, "There is a door in Hell through which those angry people will enter who only calm down after committing a sin". (It’tihafus saadatul muttaqeen, V9, P318

The Noor of Malik bin Dinar’s patience

The way our pious predecessor’s رَحِمَهُمُ اللّٰهُ المُبين tolerated the cruelty of tyrants and the mischief of disbelievers and overcame anger can be seen in the following narration: Sayyiduna Malik Bin Dinar عليه رحمة الغفار rented a place to live. There was a Jewish person living next door. The Jew hated him and so he would throw rubbish into his رَحْمَةُ الله عَلَيْه house via his drain, but the Sheikh wouldn’t complain. One day the Jew came and (sarcastically) asked, "My drain isn’t causing any problems is it?" He رَحْمَةُ الله عَلَيْه replied very politely, "When the rubbish falls from the drain, I sweep it up and clean the area." The Jew asked, "Don’t you get angry despite all the trouble it causes you"? He رَحْمَةُ الله عَلَيْه said that the Merciful Lord عَزَّوَجَل has said in Sura Ale Imran, verse 134,

Translation Kanzul-Imaan: and who control their anger and are forgiving towards mankind; and the righteous are the beloved of Allah.

When the Jew heard this he became a Muslim. (Tadhkira-tul-Auliya, Dhikr of Malik bin Dinar, P51)

صَلُّوْا عَلَى الْحَبيْب!ْ صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Dear Islamic Brothers! Did you see what blessings politeness brings! Politeness is what caused this Jew to become a Muslim.

One of the harms of anger is that it creates hatred and enmity and this sometimes leads to corruption and murder. Read about the harms of hatred and enmity and tremble with fear of Allah عَزَّوَجَل.

3 types of people

Sayyiduna ibn Abbas رَضِيَ اﷲُعَنْهُمَا narrates that the Blessed Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْه وَاٰله وَسَلَّم said, "There are three people whose prayers do not rise a single hand span above their heads: (1) An Imaam who people despise, (2) The woman that spends the night with her husband annoyed at her and (3) Two brothers who have fallen out with each other (without a valid reason)." (Sunan Ibn-e-Maja, V1, P516, Hadith 971)

Disaster for people with enmity

Sayyiduna Mu’aadh bin Jabal رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ narrates that the Messenger of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ و صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْه وَاٰله وَسَلَّم said, "On the 15th night of Sha’baan, Allah عَزَّوَجَل looks at His people with mercy and forgives them all except the polytheists and those who hold enmity in their hearts." (Al-Ihsan bitarteeb Sahih ibn Habaan, V7, P470, Hadith 5236)

Blocking the way for forgiveness

Sayyiduna Abu Huraira رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ narrates that the Beloved of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ و صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْه وَاٰله وَسَلَّم said, "Peoples actions are presented twice every week on Monday and Thursday. Every believing person is forgiven except the one who holds enmity for a fellow Muslim brother. It is said, ‘Leave these two until they have reconciled’." (Al-Ihsan bitarteeb Sahih ibn Habaan, V7, P471, Hadith 5638)

Breaking ties unnecessarily is a sin

Dear Islamic Brothers! Remember! For Muslims to break ties with each other due to hatred (without a proper reason) is a sin, Haraam and leads to Hell. Sayyiduna Abu Huraira رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ narrates that the beloved of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ و صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْه وَاٰله وَسَلَّم warned, "It is not permissible for any Muslim to avoid his fellow Muslim brother for more than three days. He who avoids his brother for more than three days and dies will be put into Hell." (Sunan Abi Dawood, Hadith 4914, V4, P363)

Excellence of hiding faults

Dear Islamic Brothers! Remember! Personal conflicts that are not based on Shariah usually result in long periods of suspicion, backbiting, spreading rumours, accusations and other major sins, consequently making both parties worthy of the punishment of Hell. The sin of publicly spreading each others faults due to personal conflicts is also very common therefore a great deal of care is needed. It is very important that a Muslims faults be kept secret if anyone becomes aware of them. Alhamdu-Lillah عَزَّوَجَل there is great reward for concealing the faults of a Muslim. Sayyiduna Uqba bin Amir رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ narrates that the blessed Prophet, master of both worlds, king of the messengers, fountain of compassion and generosity صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْه وَاٰله وَسَلَّم said, "If someone conceals a secret fault of a person after seeing it, it is as if he has brought a girl to life who had been buried alive." (Al Mu’jamul Awsat, V6, P97, Hadith 8133)

How should a Muslim be?

Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Umar رَضِيَ اﷲُعَنْهُمَا narrates that the Honourable Messenger صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْه وَاٰله وَسَلَّم said, "A Muslim is a brother of another Muslim; he does not oppress him and does not leave him unaccompanied. If a person attends the need of his brother, Allah عَزَّوَجَل will complete his needs and if anyone removes pain from a Muslim, Allah عَزَّوَجَل will remove pain from him on the day of judgement and if anyone conceals the faults of a Muslim, Allah عَزَّوَجَل will conceal his faults on the day of judgment." (Sahih Muslim, Hadith 6580, P1394)

Five level's of Namaaz

Surely, Prayer (Namaaz) keeps one away from all lewd and forbidden acts

In-nas Salaata Tanha ‘Anil Fahshaa’i Wal Munkar - Al-Qur’aan

The levels of People With regard to their prayer And mankind, with regard to their performance of prayer is in five levels.

The First: The level of the one who is negligent and wrongs his soul. He is the one who falls short in performing ablution properly, performing the prayer upon its time and within its specified limits, and in fulfilling its essential pillars.

The Second: The one, who guards his prayers upon their proper times and within their specified limits, fulfils their essential pillars and performs his ablution with care. However, his striving is
wasted due to whisperings in his prayer so he is taken away by thoughts and ideas.

The Third: The one, who guards his prayers within the specified limits, fulfils their essential pillars and strives with himself to repel the whisperings, thoughts and ideas. He is busy struggling
against his enemy (Shaitan) so that he does not steal from the prayer. On account of this he is engaged in (both) prayer and jihad.

The Fourth: The one who stands for the prayer, completes and perfects its due rights, its essential pillars, performs it within its specified limits and his heart becomes engrossed in safeguarding its rights and specified limits, so that nothing is wasted from it. His whole concern is directed towards its establishment, its completion and its perfection, as it should be. His heart is immersed in the prayer and in enslavement to his Lord, the Exalted.

The Fifth: The one who stands for the prayer like the one mentioned above. However, on top of this, he has taken and placed his heart in front of his Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, looking towards Him with his heart with anticipation, (his heart) filled with His love and His might, as if he sees and witnesses Allah. The whisperings, thoughts and ideas have vanished and the coverings which are between him and his Lord are raised. What is between this person and others with respect to the prayer is superior and greater than what is between the heavens and the earth. This person is busy with his Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, delighted with Him.

The first type will be punished, the second type will be held to account, the third will have his sins and shortcomings expiated, the fourth will be rewarded and the fifth will be close to his Lord,
because he will receive the portion of the one who makes his prayer the delight and pleasure of his eye. Whoever makes his prayer the delight and pleasure of his eye, will have the nearness to his Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, made the delight and pleasure of his eye in the hereafter. He will also be made a pleasure to the eye in this world since whoever makes Allah the pleasure of his eye in this world, every other eye will become delighted and pleased with him.

Hussaini Groom

No matter how lazy Satan makes you feel, read this booklet in its entirety. In’shaa-Allah عَزَّوَجَل you will feel a Madani transformation within yourself.

Sheikh Muhammad bin Sulaimaan Jazuli رَحْمَةُ الله عَلَيْه says that I was once on a journey. At one place it was time to offer salaah. There was a well there but no rope or bucket to pull the water out. I was still thinking about this problem when a girl on top of a house looked and asked, "What are you looking for?" I replied, "I am looking for a bucket and some rope." She asked my name, and I told her. She said, "Oh, so it is you who is spoken about a lot but your condition is such that you can’t even pull water from a well." After saying this, she spat in the well. As soon as she did this, water started rising in the well and started flowing out. Muhammad bin Sulaimaan Jazuli رَحْمَةُ الله عَلَيْه performed his wudu and offered his salaah and then asked the girl, "Tell me truthfully, how you achieved this marvel?" She replied, "I recite Durood Shareef and with its blessing, this marvel happened." He رَحْمَةُ الله عَلَيْه says that I was so impressed by that girl that I promised I will write a book all about Durood Shareef. (sa’aada-tud-darain, P159) Therefore, he رَحْمَةُ الله عَلَيْه wrote a book all about Durood Shareef which is famously known as ‘Dalail-ul-Khairaat’.

صَلُّوْا عَلَى الْحَبيْبْ صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

During the last few days, we remembered the great martyrs of Karbala. I will now tell you a painful story of a Hussaini groom. Allama Moulana Sayyid Muhammad Naeem-ud-Deen Muraadabaadi رَحْمَةُ الله عَلَيْه narrates in his book ‘Sawanih-e-Karbala’,

Hussaini groom

Sayyiduna Wahb رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ibn’e Abdullah Kalbi was a good natured youngster from the tribe of Bani Kalb. Just after 7 days of his رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ marriage his mother رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا came to him. His mother was a widow and her only prize and possession was her son. She رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا embraced her son and started crying. Sayyiduna Wahb رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ in confusion asked his mother, "Dear mother! Why are you upset? I don’t remember ever upsetting you during my lifetime and neither can I ever think of doing that in the future. It is compulsory for me to obey your orders and In’shaa-Allah عَزَّوَجَل until the day I die I will be your obedient. Dear mother! What is worrying you and what has made you cry? My dear mother! I am willing to sacrifice my life on your order. Please don’t be upset." On hearing this, his mother let out a scream and started crying even more and said, "My son, you are the light of my eyes, you are the peace of my heart, you are the only flower in my garden. Through sweat and tears I have fed you, I cannot bear a single moment without you and my heart becomes distressed in your absence. My dear son! Today on the ground of Karbala, the grandson of the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْه وَاٰله وَسَلَّم , the beloved of Sayyiduna Ali رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ, the light of the eyes of Sayyidatuna Fatima رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا is getting crushed under oppression and cruelty. My Beloved! Is it possible for you to sacrifice your life at their feet? I would spit on this world if we are still alive and the beloved grandson of the Holy prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْه وَاٰله وَسَلَّم is mercilessly martyred. If you remember the love that I gave to you when you were growing up, if you have not forgotten then my dear son! Sacrifice yourself for Hussain رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ." The Hussaini groom Sayyiduna Wahb رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ said, "My Dear Mother! It is my good fortune if I can sacrifice my life for Hussain رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ and I am prepared to do so. I need permission for a short while though so that I can go see that woman who has given up everything in this world for me and does not look at any other man except me. I am worried about her and if she wishes, I will give her permission to spend her life how ever she wants." The mother said, "My Dear Son! Women are of unsound mentality, you might become trapped in her words and might let this opportunity leave your hands." The Hussaini groom Sayyiduna Wahb رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ said, "My Dear Mother! My love for Imam Hussain رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ is so tight in my heart that no-one can open that knot of love and no-one can wash that love away." After saying this, he رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ went to his wife and said, "The grandson of the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْه وَاٰله وَسَلَّم, son of Fatima رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا and blooming flower from the garden of Sayyiduna Ali رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ is in difficulty in the grounds of Karbala. Traitors have got them trapped." On hearing this, his bride let out a heart trembling sigh and said, "Oh crown of my head! How upsetting it is that I can’t participate with you in this battle. Shariah does not allow women to come to the battlefield in order to fight. Unfortunately, I am deprived of this blessing and I can’t sacrifice myself for Imam Hussain رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ . Subhan-Allah عَزَّوَجَل, you have made the intention of Heaven and Heavenly women will be waiting for you. Just do one thing for me. When you are in Heaven and are presented with the blessings of Heaven and the Heavenly women are around you, please keep me by your side." The Hussaini groom رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ took his wife and mother and presented him in the court of Imam Hussain رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ. The bride said, "Oh son of The Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْه وَاٰله وَسَلَّم, as soon as a martyr falls from his horse, he falls into the lap of heavenly women and every wish is fulfilled in Heaven. He (meaning Sayyiduna Wahb رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ) wishes to sacrifice himself for you and I have no other relatives who will take care of me. I just have one wish and it is that I don’t be separated from my groom on the Day of Judgement. In this world I wish that you keep me as one of your slave girls so that I can serve your female family members رَضِيَ اﷲُعَنْهُن." After hearing all this, Sayyiduna Wahb رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ said, "Oh Imam Hussain رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ, if through the intercession of the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْه وَاٰله وَسَلَّم I am granted Heaven, I will request the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْه وَاٰله وَسَلَّم to keep my bride with me because I have made her a promise." After saying this, Sayyiduna Wahb رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ requested permission from Imam Hussain رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ and went into the battlefield. On seeing this, the enemy became frightful as to who this young man this, riding on a horse all by himself with a spear in his hand and calling out in a loud voice,

امِيْرُالْحُسَيْنُ وَ نِعْمَ الْامِيْر
لَهُ لَمْعَةٌ کَا لسِّرَاجِ الْمُنِيْر

Meaning Imaam Hussain رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ is the leader and he is a good leader. His character and personality is like a bright candle.

Sayyiduna Wahb رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ went forward with full speed and whoever came in his way was beheaded. Around him, a pile of heads was created. The bodies of the enemy could be seen writhing in pain and agony and covered in blood. After a while he changed the direction of his horse and headed towards his mother. He رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ came to his mother and said, "My dear mother! Are you happy with me now?" He went to his bride who was crying and told her to be patient. As soon as he had said this, a voice was heard from the battlefield calling out هَلْ مِنْ مُّبَارِز؟ meaning is there anyone to fight? Sayyiduna Wahb رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ mounted his horse and headed towards the battlefield for the second time. The new bride is watching her husband leave as tears fall from her eyes. The Hussaini Groom reached the battlefield within moments and saw that the enemy in the field was the famous warrior and expert rider Hakam bin Tufail who was an experienced fighter in the battlefield. With pride he leapt off his horse. With one attack, Sayyiduna Wahb رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ lifted him with his spear and threw him onto the ground and because of the impact of him hitting the ground, his bones got crushed. There was uproar in both armies and the enemy lost the will power to fight. Sayyiduna Wahb رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ rode straight into the heart of the enemy. Whichever enemy came in his way was lifted on his spear and smashed onto the ground. So many enemies were killed using the spear that the spear broke into pieces. As soon as it broke into pieces, he رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ took out his sword and beheaded any enemy in the way. When the enemies became fed up of what Sayyiduna Wahb رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ was doing, the enemy leader Amr bin Sa’ad gave the order that all the soldiers should attack at once and from all around. This order of the leader was followed and all the enemies attacked at once. Sayyiduna Wahb رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ was so badly injured by this cowardly attack that he fell to the ground and the black hearted enemy cut of his blessed head and threw it towards the army of Imam Hussain رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ. The mother of Sayyiduna Wahb رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ picked up the head of her son and rubbed it on her face and said, "Oh son, my brave son, your mother is happy with you now." The mother then put the head into the lap of the bride. The bride kissed the head and in that very instance her soul left her body and she joined her Hussaini groom.

اَسکَنَکُمَا الله ُ فَرَادِيْسَ الجِنَانِ وَاَغرَقَکُم فِي بِحَارِ الرَّحمَة وَ الرِّضوَانِ

(meaning may Allah عَزَّوَجَل grant you a place in the gardens of Firdous and immerse you in mercy and the river of Ridwaan)

(mulakhkhas az: Sawanih Karbala, P118-123, Shabir brothers Markaz-ul-Auliya Lahore)

My Dear Islamic Brothers! You saw the enthusiasm the AhleBait عليهم الرضوان had and how the Hussaini groom who was married since 17 days only, went into the battlefield and faced the enemy and became entitled to Heaven by being martyred. The mother and wife of the Hussaini groom are also entitled too much praise. Look at how the mother and the wife supported the Hussaini groom and saw him get martyred in the feet of Imaam Hussain رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ. May Allah عَزَّوَجَل give even one drop of this enthusiasm to our mothers and sisters so that they can also present their children for the sake of Islam, make them act upon the sunnah and make them travel in the Madani Qafilas.

Bones of the Kings

It is stated that once a King went hunting but was separated from his companions. The King spotted a weak and grief-stricken young man who was shuffling with some human bones.

The King asked, “How did you become like this and what are you doing in this deserted and frightening place all alone?”

The young man replied, “I`m in such a state because I have a long journey ahead of me. Two guardian Angels that have been appointed over me (in the form of day & night) are after me, scaring me, and making me run forward. Meaning that whatever days and nights pass, they are bringing me closer to death. I see a dark and narrow grave full of pain ahead of me. Alas! Soon I will be left in it to rot. It will be full of discomfort and worries. There I will become food for insects, my bones and their joints will be taken apart. This isn`t the end though. After this there is also the Day of Judgement, which will be tougher. Thereafter, I don`t even know whether I will be sent to Heaven or to Hell, Allah (azzaẃajal) forbid. You tell me, how can somebody who knows all this rejoice?”

After hearing this, the King was engrossed by sadness and grief. The King got off his horse and sat in front of the young man and said, “Oh young man, your words have snatched all my comfort and have taken control of my heart. I want to know more.”

The young man said, “These bones that you see piled in front of me are the bones of Kings who fell into the trap created by the beauty of this world. They themselves ruled the people, whilst heedlessness ruled their hearts. These people remained careless of the Hereafter. All their desires were left unfulfilled till death overtook them and the blessings bestowed upon them were confiscated. Their bodies have rotted away in the graves and their bones are scattered around in the state of restlessness. Soon, their bones will gain life and will again be covered with flesh and they will receive according to their deeds either a house of blessing (Heaven) or a house of torment (Hell).”

After saying this, the young man disappeared and the King couldn`t find him anywhere. When the servants found the King they saw his facial expression of emptiness and tears flowing down his cheeks. When the night came, the King took off his lavish clothes and wrapped himself in two sheets and went into the jungle to perform the worship of Allah (azzaẃajal). After this point in time nobody heard from that King ever again (rahmatullahi ta`ala alayhima)

Satan's four donkeys

Satan's four donkeys

No matter how lazy Satan makes you, read the whole of this article. In’shaa-Allah عَزَّوَجَل you will feel a Madani transformation occurring in your heart. Benefit of Durood Shareef

Sayyiduna Abul Qasim Qushairi رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ narrates that Allah عَزَّوَجَل sent a revelation to Sayyiduna Musa عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم saying, "I created 10,000 ears in you with which you heard my speech and 10,000 tongues with which you spoke to me. You will become beloved to me when you send Durood upon Muhammad صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْه وَاٰله وَسَلَّم".

(ar risalat-ul-Qushairiyyah baabus samaa’, P377, Dar-ul-Kutubul Ilmiyyah Beirut)

صَلُّوْا عَلَى الْحَبيْب!ْ صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

What was on the four donkeys?

It is said that Sayyiduna Isa عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم once saw Satan with four loaded donkeys. He عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم asked him what they were carrying. Satan replied, "They are carrying my merchandise, one of them is carrying cruelty, another is carrying dishonesty, the third is carrying treachery, and the last one is carrying jealousy." He عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم asked, "Who will buy this merchandise?" Satan replied, "Rulers will buy cruelty, traders will buy dishonesty, women will buy my treachery, and as far as the jealousy is concerned, scholars will buy that". (Nuzha-tul-Majalis, V2, P53, Dar-ul-Kutubul Ilmiyyah Beirut)

First piece of merchandise: Cruelty

My Dear Islamic brothers! We know now that cruelty, dishonesty, treachery and jealousy are all Satan’s merchandise. We have learnt that he sells cruelty to rulers. We know that when a person gains authority he usually deprives the poor and needy of their rights and inflicts oppression upon them instead of enforcing justice, he forgets the fact that Allah عَزَّوَجَل is watching his every move. What the previous narration is saying is that cruelty and oppression is committed commonly by rulers and officers of high posts, but remember, it does not mean that only they commit this crime, anyone causing grief or being cruel to a Muslim is a sinner and worthy of punishment in the fire.

It’s not too late

You who hurt the feelings of Muslims! You who start storms of oppression and cruelty! You who spray rounds of bullets at Muslims! You who rob Muslim shops! Their homes! Threaten them! Terrorise them and steal their peace from them! Listen carefully! Sayyidduna Abu Musa رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ narrates that the greatest Messenger صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْه وَاٰله وَسَلَّم said, "Allah عَزَّوَجَل lets tyrants run loose, but when he grabs them he does not let go". (Bukhari, Hadith 4686, V5, P255, Dar-ul-Fikr Beirut)

Signs of an evil man

Sayyidatuna Asma Bint Umais رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا reports that she heard the Blessed Messenger صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْه وَاٰله وَسَلَّم saying, "One who is arrogant and forgets Allah عَزَّوَجَل is very evil, so is the one who oppresses the weak and transgresses limits and forgets the Glorious Allah عَزَّوَجَل, and the one who indulges in games and amusements and forgets rotting in his grave, and causes mischief and forgets his beginning, and the one who uses religion to deceive the world, and ruins religion by indulging in doubtful actions, and he who is driven by greed, and is led astray from the straight path by his desires, and the one who is disgraced by his desires (all of them are evil)". (Tirmizi, V3, P357, Hadith 2448, Dar-ul-Kutubul Ilmiyyah Beirut)

Avoid the curse of the oppressed

Sayyiduna Ali رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ reports that the Blessed Messenger صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْه وَاٰله وَسَلَّم said, "Avoid the curse of the oppressed because he asks Allah عَزَّوَجَل for his due right and Allah عَزَّوَجَل makes sure that people get their rights". (Jami’ Saghir, V1, P14, Hadith 119, Dar-ul-Kutubul Ilmiyyah Beirut)

The helper of the oppressed is the most powerful

My Dear Islamic Brothers! It may seem as if the oppressed is weak in front of the tyrant but remember he is being supported by the Most Powerful Allah عَزَّوَجَل, the one who will ultimately take revenge. The oppressed is not alone, even though it may temporarily seem as if he is unaided and helpless. If an oppressed person is patient he will definitely benefit from it because he will be rewarded greatly for his patience, as far as the tyrant is concerned he is in great loss because he constantly piles up his sins due to his cruelty, and invites the wrath of Allah عَزَّوَجَل, whether the cruelty be on humans or animals.

Punishment because of a cat

The Beloved of Allah عَزَّوَجَل و صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْه وَاٰله وَسَلَّم has said, "I was shown Hell, in which I saw a woman of Bani Israeel being tortured because in the world she had a cat that died of hunger because she kept it tied up without feeding it herself or letting it run loose to find it’s own food". (Mishkat bisharhi Mirqat, Hadith 5341, V9, P198, Dar-ul-Fikr Beirut)

All seven earths

You who use bribery to illegally occupy other people’s properties listen! You landlords, tribe leaders and farmers who unjustly occupy other people’s farmlands listen! Imam Muslim mentions a warning of Our Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْه وَاٰله وَسَلَّم, "One who unjustly occupies a hand span of someone’s land, will be forced to wear a necklace made of the seven earths on the day of judgement". (Muslim, Hadith 1610, V3, P56, Dar-ul-Kutubul Ilmiyyah Beirut)

SAYING BISMILLAH BEFORE WUDHU

Rasoolullah (Sallailaahu-alayhi-wasallam) said: "One who does not say Bismillah before wudhu, his wudhu is incomplete." (Tirmizi). It is reported from Sayyidina Abu Hurairah (RadiAllahuanhu) that anyone who does not say Bismillah before wudhu, only the sins committed by the limbs which are washed in wudhu will be washed away; and one who says Bismillah before wudhu, the sins of the entire body will be washed away. (Mishkaat)

BISMILLAH - A MEANS OF HIGH STATUS IN THE HEREAFTER

Rasoolullah (Sallaahu-alayhi-wasallam) is reported as saying that any du'a which is begun withis not rejected. Because of saying Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem the scales of my Ummah will become heavy on the Day of Qiyaamah. The other people will enquire: "Why is the virtues of the Ummate Muhammadiyyah so heavy?" Their prophets will say: "In the utterances of the Ummate Muhammadiyyah there is such an honourable name of Allah that if it is placed on the one side of the scale, and the sins of the entire creation is put onto the other side then the side with the virtue will be heavier.A HADEETHE QUDSIRasoolullah (Saliallaahu-alayhi-wasallam) said that Sayyidina Jibreel made mention of this Hadeeth under oath that he heard it from Sayyidina Mika'il(Alaihissalatuwassalam) under oath who in turn heard it from Sayyidina Israfeel (Alaihissalatuwassalam) under oath that Allah Ta'ala said: "By my honour, grace and grandeur, whoever reads Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem and Soorah Faatihah jointly once, then you be witness that I shall not burn his tongue and I will save him from the Fire as well as the punishment of the grave and the day of Qiyaamah.Note: Reading Bismillah and Sooratul Faatihah jointly means to read it as follows: Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem mil hamdu lillaahi rabbil aalameen.....

REMEMBERING ALLAH THROUGH HIS THREE THOUSAND NAMES

It is mentioned in Tafseer Roohul Bayaan that Allaamah Sayyid Haqqi (Rehmatullahalaih) said that Allah Ta'ala has three thousand names. He revealed one thousand to the angels, one thousand to the ambiya(Alaihissalatuwassalam), three hundred are mentioned in the Toraah, three hundred in the Zaboor, three hundred in the Injeel, and ninety-nine in the Holy Qur'aan. One Name He has kept to Himself; He revealed it to no one. Also, He has condensed all His names into the three names contained in Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem. They are Allah, Rahmaan and Raheem. Any person saying Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem; it is as though he has remembered Allah by all His names.

BISMILLAH BEFORE DOING ANYTHING

It is for this reason that Rasoolullah (Sallallaahu-alayhi- wasallam) used to recite Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem before doing any work. And he (sallallaahu-alayhi-wasallam) also advisedthe Ummah to do the same. For example, reading it before shutting the door for the night, before putting out the light, before taking meals, before drinking water, before boarding a conveyance, and when alighting any conveyance.

BISMILLAH BEFORE WAHEE

In Durre Manthoor Sayyidina Ibne Umar (RadiAllahuanhu) is reported as saying that surely, whenever Jibreel (Alaihissalatuwassalam) used to bring wahee to Rasoolullah (Sallallaahu-alayhi-wasallam), he used to first recite Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem .The reason for the above is as follows: in Bismillah there are three names of Allah: (1) Allah which is His personal name indicating that all projects can only be initiated by the will and wish of Allah. (2) Rahmaan (Kind) which is His attributive name indicating that only Allah can keep that project intact and existent (guarding it against destruction). (3) Raheem(Most Merciful) which is also His attributive name indicating that only Allah can, through His mercy and grace, enable any person to derive benefit from that project. This clearly proves that any project begun with Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem will be granted barakah and blessings from the beginning till the end.

THE STORY OF FAQEEH MUHAMMAD ZAMANI

Faqeeh Muhammad Zamani had a severe fever. His Ustaad Faqeeh Wali Muhammad came to pay him a visit. He gave him a ta'weez(amulet) and advising him not to open it, he departed. As soon as he wore it, his fever disappeared. He became curious. So he opened it and found "Bismillahir Rahman nir Raheem" written in it. This made him lose his confidence in the ta'weez. So his fever returned. He went back to his Ustaad and offered his apology and asked for another ta'weez(amulet). The Ustaad gave him another one. He wore it and his fever again disappeared. He opened it after a year and again, to his surprise, found "Bismillahir Rahman nir Raheem" written in it. By this time he was cured and his yaqeen in "Bismillahir Rahman nir Raheem" grew tremendously.

THE STORY OF SAYYIDINA KHAALID (RadiAllahuanhu)

On one occasion Sayyidina Khaalid (RadiAllahuanhu) surrounded the enemy. So they said to him that you claim that Islam is a true religion. Show us some proof. So he said to them to bring him some poison. They brought him a cup filled with poison. He said 'Bismillah' and drank it. No harm whatsoever came to him. Witnessing this, they all embraced Islam.

THE STORY OF THE ROMAN KING

It is mentioned in Moo-dhi-hul Qur'aan that the king wrote to Sayyidina Umar (RadiAllahuanhu) that he has continious headaches and to kindly send him some medication. Sayyidina Umar (RadiAllahuanhu) sent him a topee(hat). As long as he had the topee(hat) on his head he would feel well. But when he took it off, the headache came back. He was surprised. He took off the topee(hat) and inspected it carefully. And he found "Bismillahir Rahman nir Raheem" inscribed inside.

A FASCINATING STORY OF A JEWISH GIRL

It is mentioned in Lam'aate Soofiyyah that a pious man was once lecturing on the virtues of "Bismillahir Rahman nir Raheem". A Jewish girl was also listening to his lecture. She was so moved by the lecture that she accepted Islam. Now, whenever she did anything she always said "Bismillahir Rahman nir Raheem" first. When her father, who was the king's minister, discovered that she had embraced Islam, he became very upset. He feared that the people would look down upon him. So, he began threatening her in the hope that she would forsake Islam. But she would not. Finally, he decided, the only solution was to kill her. Thus, he thought of a plan: he gave her the ring which was used for sealing letters and documents in the king's court. He said to her: "Keep it until I ask for it." Saying "Bismillahir Rahman nir Raheem" she took it and put it in her pocket.' That night the father tip-toed into her room and stole the ring and flung it into the river. That would give the king all the reason to hang her. The following day a fisherman came along to the minister and gave him a fish as a gift. The minister took it and gave it to his daughter to prepare it. As soon as she opened the stomach to clean the fish she found the ring. She was shocked! For it looked exactly like the ring her father had given her! She searched for the ring in her pocket but couldn't find it. She read "Bismillahir Rahman nir Raheem" and put the ring back into her pocket. She then prepared the fish and presented it to her father. After he had his meal. He then asked for the ring. She said "Bismillahir Rahman nir Raheem" and produced it from her pocket. The father was shocked for he had thrown it into the river! How could she take it out from her pocket! He then told her what he had done and enquired where the ring came from. She told him she found it from the fish's stomach. Witnessing the barakah(blessing) of Bismillah he accepted Islam straightaway

BASHR HAAFI'S INCIDENT

Bashr Haafi once saw a paper with the inscription "Bismillahir Rahman nir Raheem" lying on the ground. He picked it up. He had 2 Dirhams in his pocket. He bought perfume with these and smeared it on the paper. That night he saw (the noor(light)) of Allah Ta'ala in his dream. Allah said to him: 0 Bashr Haafi, just as you have honoured my name, in the same way I shall make you popular in the world and hereafter.

THE BARAKAH AND BLESSINGS OF BISMILLAH

AN INCIDENT WITH ISA-JESUS(Alaihissalatuwassalam.)It is reported that Sayyidina Isa (Alaihissalatuwassalam.)) passed by a grave whose inmate was being tormented. After some days he happened to pass by the same grave again. This time there was no punishment. The inmate was in great comfort. This surprised him a great deal. He asked Allah: -Lord, what brought about Your mercy so that you have lifted the punishment from this person?" Allah Ta'ala replied: -0 Isa, when the man died, he left behind a child. When his mother took him to the madrasah and he, the child, said Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem in the presence of the teacher, it is not like me to keep on punishing his father while he called me Rahmaan and Raheem. Hence, I forgave him. BASHR HAAFI'S INCIDENT Bashr Haafi once saw a paper with the inscription "Bismillahir Rahman nir Raheem" lying on the ground.

Excellence of Bismillah Shareef

Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemiSayyidina Jaabir is reported to have said that when Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem revealed, the clouds gave way by moving to the East, the winds ceased blowing, the oceans became calm, the creatures prepared themselves to listen, the shaytaan got pelted with fire from the heavens and Allah Ta'ala, swearing an oath by His honour, declared: Anyone who says this name of mine (ie. Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem) upon anything, I will surely impart barakah in that thing, (Durre Manthoor and Ibne Katheer) ________________________________________"Bismillah" is the key to the Holy Quran and to all permissable actions. Any good deed that is commenced with the Bismillah is worthy of great reward. If any good action is not commenced with Bismillah, then that action remains incomplete. To recite it before any bad deed is forbidden. If one eats or drinks without reciting the Bismillah, the Shaitaan joins in the meal. When slaughtering an animal, one must say the words: "Bismillah Allahu Akbar."________________________________________It is one complete Ayah of the Holy Quran. But it is not the part of any Surah. With the exception of Surah Tauba, every other Surah commences with the Bismillah. When performing Taraweeh, it is necessary for the Hafiz to recite Bismillah aloud at least once. In Surah Naml, the Bismillah which appears is part of the Ayah. The excellence of the Bismillah being explained here refers to the Bismillah written before each Surah in the Quran except for Surah Tauba.________________________________________The Ulema have stated that there are 3 000 known Names of Allah. One thousand are known only to Angels, 1 000 to Ambiya, 300 names are in the Taurah, 300 in the Injeel, 300 in the Zaboor and 99 in the Holy Quran. In total there are 2 999 in number. One Name is only known to Allah which He informed Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). In the Bismillah, the Names "Allah," "Rahmaan" and "Raheem" are the basis of all the 3 000 Names. This, he who recites the Bismillah gets the blessings of reciting the 3 000 Names. It is in "Tafseer-e-Kabeer" that there are 19 alphabets in the Bismillah and the Angels of punishment in Jahannam are 19 in number. The hope is that through each Harf, each Angel of Azaab shall be passed. ________________________________________When the Beloved Habeeb (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) went for Me'raj, he saw four rivers in Jannat - one of water, one of milk, one of wine (drink of Jannah) and one of honey. He questioned Sayyiduna Jibra'il (alaihis salaam) concerning these rivers, and he replied, "Pray and request to Allah so that He may inform you." On the Du'a of Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam), an Angel appeared. It made Salaam and said, "Ya Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam)! Close your eyes." When he opened his eyes, he was besides a building. The door of this building was made of gold and there was a lock on it and from under this building flowed rivers. When the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) decided to leave, the Angel requested him to enter the building. The Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said that there was a lock on the door. The Angels said that the keys were present. They then entered the building and saw that there were four pillars and on each pillar was written "Bismillah Hir Rahmaan Nir Raheem." He saw that a river of water flowed from the "Meem" of Bismillah, a river of milk flowed from the "Haa" of Allah, the river of wine flowed from the "Meem" of Rahmaan and a river of honey flowed from the "Meem" of Raheem. At that instance, Almighty Allah said, "O Beloved ! Any Believer of your Ummah who recites the Bismillah will be worthy of these four rivers."It is in "Tafseer Azeezi" that if one is faced with a calamity, he should read the Bismillah 12 000 times in this manner that he should read it 1 000 times then read two Rakaah Nafil Salaah. He should continue this procedure till he reaches 12 thousand. All in all, he will read 24 Rakaahs of Nafil Salaah. After completion, he should ask for his problems to be solved, and Insha-Allah, his Du'as will be accepted.________________________________________If a friend becomes an enemy, read Bismillah Hir Rahmaan Nir Raheem 786 times and blow on his food. Insha-Allah, he will become a friend again. Bismillah also has numerous other benefits

being thankfull to ALLAH azavajal

The other day while watching a network news program, I saw a Muslim woman in Kosova with her six-month-old infant, who was covered in sores and suffered from a malady of illnesses, all because it had not had a bath since its birth. The mother explained that because of the heavy fighting, she and her family had been on the move constantly, and that luxurious such as decent food and clean water were not available to them. As the mother of a six-month-old infant myself, this struck to the very heart of me. Bath time for my son and I, is a very special time filled with play and laughter. It's a ritual we share everyday, and the fact that I would have clean water with which to bathe him, was something, until then, every time I bath my son, I try to remember to thank Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala, for His Mercy to me. It also reminds me to be thankful for all the other "little things," that I take for granted everyday. From the very beginning of Man's creation, the issue of gratefulness and thankfulness to Allah has been debated. After refusing to bow to Adam, Satan said,"Then I will certainly come to them from before them and from behind them, and from the right-hand side and from the left-hand side, and You (Allah) shall not find most of them thankful."[7:17]This statement from the worst of Iiars has proven to be true, not only among the disbelievers, but also among the Muslims. Unfortunately, we Muslims have fallen into the trap of Satan, and have gotten so caught up in our comings and goings, that we very rarely take the time to reflect on the Favors of Allah, and to thank Him with the thanks that is due Him. We are so busy conducting our daily lives that we forget who is really in-charge, and from where our sustenance comes. This is not the way, for Allah says,"Therefore remember Me, I will remember you, And be thankful to Me, and do not be ungrateful to Me." [The Noble Qur'aan [2:152]]The problem that most of us face is what I call the, "if I only" Syndrome. If I only had a better wife, I would be grateful. If I only had sons instead of daughters, I would be grateful. If I only had a bigger house, a better car, more money, a better job, and the list goes on and on. We are constantly focused on the things we don't have, instead of being grateful to Allah for the things we do have. This is a very serious illness, for which the Prophet (Pbuh) has given the cure. He, peace be upon him, admonished us, in terms of worldly things to always look to those beneath us, for this will keep us thankful. Allah says about the Prophet (Pbuh) that in him we have the best of examples. In terms of showing us how to be thankful to Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala, he is as Allah says. It is narrated by al-Mughira that the Prophet,(Pbuh) used to stand (in the salah) or performs salah until both his feet or legs swelled. He was asked why (he offered such an unbearable salah) he said, "Should I not be a thankful slave." [Bukhari]As the Prophet (Pbuh) advised us, the best way to stay thankful to Allah is to count His Favours in our lives everyday. For Allah says,"And He gives you all that you ask for. But if you count the favors of Allah, never will you be able to number them. Verily, man is given up to injustice and ingratitude." [The Noble Qur'aan [14:34]This statement of Allah is so true, yet we put so little value on it, and do not take heed. The very fact that we got up this morning, that we can offer the salah that we had breakfast, that we have clothes to wear, water to bathe ourselves, that we have homes to shelter us from the elements, that we have our health, our families, etc., etc., etc., are all favors from Allah, subhanahu wa ta'aala. We should take non of it for granted, or become arrogant enough to believe that we attained any of it because of our own efforts alone.Thankfulness frees the heart from greed, jealousy and envy. When we are thankful to Allah, we remain mindful of Him and His continuos Mercy toward us, and this in return humbles us and improves our characters. The very fact that Allah has guided us to Islam and the sunnah of His Prophet (Pbuh) in itself should be a source of continual praise. Allah says,"Surely We have shown him the way: he may be thankful or unthankful." [The Noble Qur'aan (76:3)]Allah also says that only few of His servants thank Him. Let us then strive to be among these few by keeping our tongues wet with His remembrance and our hearts soft with His praise.

Between life and death

A man slipped down from the brink of a deep well. Fortunately, a plant had grown in the wall of the well, and while falling down his hands clutched a branch of that plant. After the initial shock, he began looking up and down. What he saw, was enough to make him scared. A huge serpent, in the depth of the well, was waiting for him to fall down. Desperately, he decided to remain where he was and then saw, to his horror, that two mice - one black, another white - were busy cutting the root of that plant. He lost his hope. Then he looked up, and his heart was full of hope. He was not very far from the rim of the well and, by a little judicious effort could reach to safety very easily. Then he saw a beehive in that plant. And forgetting his tragic position, he began eating the honey. Of course, the bees did not like it and began stinging him, but he remained oblivious of all the troubles. A short time after, the mice succeeded in cutting the plant down and he fell in the mouth of the serpent. We are that man; this world is that well; the plant in midway is our life; which is being coded away by every passing night and day - the black and white mice; death is the serpent waiting for us. The honey represents the pleasantries of this world, for which we quarrel with other people- the bees, and are bitten by them. What makes our plight more tragic is the fact that rescue is never very far. It just requires a little effort on our path to reach the safety and security provided by the loving care of Allah. We may easily reach to God and be safe forever. Or, on the other hand, we may be destroyed by death. The choice is ours.

The Carpenter

A highly skilled carpenter who had grown old was ready to retire. He told his employer-contractor of his plans to leave the house building business and live a more leisurely life with his family. He would miss the paycheck, but he needed to retire. The employer was sorry to see his good worker go and asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter agreed to this proposal but made sure that this will be his last project. Being in a mood to retire, the carpenter was not paying much attention to building this house. His heart was not in his work. He resorted to poor workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end his career. When the job was done, the carpenter called his employer and showed him the house. The employer handed over some papers and the front door key to the carpenter and said "This is your house, my gift to you."The carpenter was in a shock! What a shame! If he had only known that he was building his own house, he would have made it better than any other house that he ever built! Our situation can be compared to this carpenter. Allah Ta'la has sent us to this world to build our homes in paradise by obeying His commands. Now, we have to decide how well we wish to build the homes where we will live forever.

Dialogue between a Flower and a PearlA brilliantly beautiful and fragrant flower with attractive colors met a pearl that lives far in the bottom of the sea .One day, a brilliantly beautiful and fragrant flower with attractive colors met a pearl that lives far in the bottom of the sea and has none of these characteristics. Both got acquainted with each other. The flower said: "Our family is large; roses and daisies are members of the family. And there are many other species that are various and countless, each has a distinctive scent, appearance etc."Suddenly, a tinge of distress appeared on the flower. "Nothing accounts for sorrow in your talk; so why are depressed?" The pearl asked."Human beings deal with us carelessly; they slight us. They don't grow us for our sake but to get pleasure from our fragrance and beautiful appearance. They throw us on the street or in the garbage can after we are dispossessed of the most valuable properties; brilliance and fragrance"The flower sighed. And then the flower said to the pearl: "Speak to me about your life! How do you live? How do you feel it? You are buried in the bottom of the sea. "The pearl answered: "Although I have none of your distinctive colors and sweet scents, humans think I am precious. They do the impossible to procure me. They go on long journeys, dive deep in the seas searching for me. You might be astounded to know that the further I lay, the more beautiful and brilliant I become. That's what upraises my value in their thought. I live in a thick shell isolated in the dark seas. However, I'm happy and proud to be in a safe zone far from wanton and mischievous hands and still the humans consider me highly valuable"Do you know what the flower and the pearl symbolize?Think ThinkYou will find that:The flower is the unveiled woman (who shows her charms) and the pearl is the veiled woman (who conceals her beauties)

Pearls of Wisdom - Fear and Hope

- The least torture in Hell- The severity of its heat, and their variation in it: An-Nu`man ibn Bashir (RA) narrated that he heard the Prophet(SAW) say: The least torture in the Hell on the Day of Judgment is that of a man whose foot sole is laid on a live coal which causes his brain to boil just like a boiler. [Bukhari and Muslim] Muslim narrated in his Sahih: He does not think that any other person is tortured more severely than him although he is in the least torture. [Muslim] Abu Huraira (RA) narrated: This fire of yours which burns the son of Adam (in this world) is the seventieth part of the heat of the Hell. They say: We swear by Allah, our fire is quite enough. The Prophet said: It is sixty nine times more and each part of it is like the heat of your fire. [Muslim] Abu Huraira said that the Prophet said: The Hell complained to her Rabb: O my Rabb! I am eating myself. He allowed her two breaths: One in winter and the other one in summer, and that is why you feel the heat in Summer and the cold in Winter. (Bukhari and Muslim) Samura narrated that he heard the Prophet, , said: Fire holds some to their ankle bones, some to their knees, some to their waists, and some up to their collarbones. [Muslim] This Hadith is a statement for the variation in degrees in the punishment of those in the Hell. We seek protection of Allah from it and from anything that leads to it whether word or deed. - Between hope and despair - (False) security and despair are ways leading out of the folds of the community of Muslims. The right attitude for the people of the Qiblah lies between the two. That is to say, a slave should remain between fear and hope. For, the right and the approved kind of fear is that which acts as a barrier between the slave and the things forbidden by Allah. But, if fear is excessive, then the possibility is that the man will fall into despair and pessimism. On the other hand the approved state of optimism is of a man who does good in the light of the Shari'ah and is hopeful of being rewarded for it. Or, conversely, if a man committed a sin, he repents sincerely, and is hopeful of being forgiven. Allah (swt) said: "Verily, those who believed, and those who migrated and fought in the way of Allah, it is they who are hopeful of Allah's mercy. And Allah is very Forgiving, very Merciful." (Al-Baqarah, 218) In contrast, if a man indulges in sins and excesses, but is hopeful that he would be forgiven without doing anything good, then, this is self-deception, mere illusion and false hope. Abu 'All Rowzbari has said, "Fear and hope are like the two wings of a bird. If they are well balanced, the flight will be well balanced. But, If one is stunted, the Right would also be stunted. And, to be sure, if the two are lost, the bird will soon be in the throes of death." Allah has praised the people of hope and fear in the following verse: 'Is one who worships devotedly during the night, prostrating himself or standing, fearing the Hereafter, and hoping for the mercy of his Lord (is equal to him who doesn't do these things)?' (Al Zumar, 9) Hope then also demands fear. If that was not the case, one would be in a state of false security. Conversely, fear demands hope. - Medicine of the Heart - Yahyaa ibn Mu'aadh said: "The medicine of the heart is five things: reading Qur'aan and pondering the meaning, having an empty stomach, praying at night (qiyaam al-layl), beseeching Allaah at the time of suhoor, and keeping company with righteous people." - Best of the Best - "I looked at all friends and did not find a better friend than safeguarding the tongue. I thought about all dresses, but did not find a better dress than piety. I thought about all types of wealth, but did not find a better wealth than contentment in little. I thought of all types of good deeds, but did not find a better deed than offering good advice. I looked at all types of sustenance but did not find a better sustenance than patience" [Umar(RA)] - How many days in your life? - The World is three days: As for yesterday, it has vanished, along with all that was in it. As for tomorrow, you may never see it. As for today, it is yours, so work in it. [Hassan al-Basri]

ALLAH IS WATCHING YOU

A teacher had many good students in his class but had particular regard and high respect for one of them. Some of the students one day asked the teacher the reason for this. In reply he said, I shall tell you tomorrow." The next day, he handed to each of those students one live chicken. He asked them to take the chickens to a place where they would not be seen by anyone and then slaughter them. After a while, they returned with their chicken duly slaughtered. But his favourite student came back with his chicken alive. The teacher asked him why he had not slaughtered it. He replied. "You had asked me to go to a place where nobody would see me. I tried hard to find a place where God Almighty could not see me. But I failed. Everywhere went I was sure that God could see me and I could not hide from Him. So I could not carry out your instructions. On hearing this, the teacher turned to the other students and remarked, "The reason why I respect this student more is because of his constant awareness of the existence of God who can always see him, no matter where he is. Consequently, he does not commit any sin".The sixth Imam, Ja'far al-Sadiq (a), said to one of his friends, lshaq Bin Ammar, "Fear God as if you are able to see Him because He sees you. And if you think that He is not able to see you, then you become a non-believer. And if you believe that He sees you and you commit a sin in His presence, then you consider Him as the lowest of those seeing you".

1. Telling the Truth

Telling the truth is a very good habit. If you always speak the truth, you can save yourself from a lot of trouble! Here is a story of a man who did a lot of bad things, but his promise to tell the truth saved him.Once a man came to the prophet Muhammad (S) and said, "Oh prophet of Allah, I have many bad habits. Which one of them should I give up first?" The prophet said, "Give up telling lies first and always speak the truth." The man promised to do so and went home.At night the man was about to go out to steal. Before setting out, he thought for a moment about the promise he made with the prophet. "If tomorrow the prophet asks me where have I been, what shall I say? Shall I say that I went out stealing? No, I cannot say that. But nor can I lie. If I tell the truth, everyone will start hating me and call me a thief. I would be punished for stealing."So the man decided not to steal that night, and gave up this bad habit.Next day, he felt like drinking wine, when he was about to do so, he said to himself, "What shall I say to the prophet if he asks me what did I do during the day? I cannot tell a lie, and if I speak the truth people will hate me, because a Muslim is not allowed to drink wine." And so he gave up the idea of drinking wine.In this way, whenever the man thought of doing something bad, he remembered his promise to tell the truth at all times. One by one, he gave up all his bad habits and became a good Muslim and a very good person. If you always speak the truth, you can be a good person, a good Muslim whom Allah likes and favors. If Allah - our Creator - is pleased with us, He will reward us with HEAVEN, which is a place of happiness and joy.MAKE A PROMISE: I SHALL ALWAYS SPEAK THE TRUTH.

snakes in the grave

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful and, Peace and Blessings of Almighty Allah be upon the Chosen Prophet.A sinful person died. When the earth was dug up to make way for his coffin, a large snake was found. The people dug another hole nearby, but again they found a large snake. In this manner, the people dug thirty different hole nearby but each time, they came across large snakes. In the end, the people decided that they could not flee from the order of Allah azzawajal and thus buried him in the snake-infested earth.Moral:It is clearly stated in the Ahadith that when a pious person dies, then his grave is like a green garden from the gardens of paradise. There will be life, vigour and all types of bounties reserved for this righteous person.Conversely, a sinful person will find that his grave will be like a pit from the pits of Hell. The place will be dark and infested with snakes and scorpions. The decision lies in our hands. By our actions in this life, we can choose to make our grave paradise or hell.

The Importance of Repentance

Repentance is a very important part of a Muslim`s life. No matter how sinful a person may be, if one turns towards Allah (Azuwajjal) and asks for forgiveness with sincerity and will not go back to that sin, Insha-Allah, Allah (Azuwajjal) will forgive. There is a chapter in the Qur`an regarding repentance (Surah Tawbah) and it is worth reading with its commentary. There are many ahadith regarding the virtues and importance of repentance of which we will mention some: The Messenger of Allah (Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alaihi wa'aalihi Wasallam) said: There was a man from among a nation before you who killed ninety-nine people and then made an enquiry about the most learned person on the earth. He was directed to a monk. He came to him and told him that he had killed ninety-nine people and asked him if there was any chance for his repentance to be accepted. He replied in the negative and the man killed him also, making it an even one hundred. He then asked about the most learned man in the earth. He was directed to a scholar. He told him that he had killed one hundred people and asked him if there was any chance for his repentance to be accepted. He [the scholar] replied in the affirmative and asked, `Who stands between you and repentance? Go to such and such land; there (you will find) people devoted to prayer and worship of Allah (Azuwajjal), join them in worship, and do not come back to your land because it is an evil place.` So he went away and hardly had he covered half the distance when death overtook him. There was a dispute between the angels of mercy and the angels of torment. The angels of mercy pleaded, `This man has come with a repenting heart to Allah (Azuwajjal),` while the angels of punishment argued, `He never did a virtuous deed in his life.` Then there appeared another angel in the form of a human being and the contending angels agreed to make him an arbiter between them.He said, `Measure the distance between the two lands. He will be considered belonging to the land to which he is nearer.` They measured and found him closer to the land (land of piety) where he intended to go, and so the angels of mercy collected his soul. Another version says: Allah (Azuwajjal) commanded [the land which the man wanted to leave] to move away and commanded the other land (his destination) to draw nearer, and then He said, Now measure the distance between them.` It was found that he was nearer to his goal by a hand`s span and was thus forgiven. (Bukhari & Muslim) A Muslim must always have hope in the Mercy and Forgiveness of Allah (Azuwajjal) . In fact, it is sinful to despair the Mercy of Allah (Azuwajjal) . No matter what we might have done in the past, we should always have hope that Allah (Azuwajjal) will accept our tawbah. Let us never forget the words of the Prophet Muhammad (Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alaihi wa'aalihi Wasallam), He who repents before the sun rises from the West (i.e. the end of the world), Allah (Azuwajjal) will forgive him. (Muslim) May Allah (Azuwajjal) give us the ability to repent and save us from sin, Ameen Bijaahin Nabiyill Aameen

Awliya Allah Are Alive In Their Graves

Allah (Azzawajal) says in the Qur'an-e-Paak“Do not even think of those who are martyred in the way of Allah as dead, BUT THEY ARE ALIVE near their lord and given provision. They are joyous of what Allah bestowed upon them of his favour and they give good news to those who have not as yet reached them.” (Surah Al-Imraan, Verse 170). It explains that the Awliya are those who have attained nearness to Allah (Azzawajal). Attaining this nearness is not easy because there are certain obstacles. One of the greatest obstacles is bringing one’s carnal desires (nafs-ul-ammarah) under control. In this regard, the struggle with one’s carnal soul has been regarded as a Jihad-e-Akbar (Great battle), in contrast to Jihad-e-Asghar (Smaller Battle, which is fought on the actual battlefield). This concept is derived from the popular Hadith of the Most Beloved (Salla Allahu ta'ala alayhi wa Sallam), in which he said to his companions returning from a battle: “You have returned from a smaller battle to a greater battle.” He was then asked by the companions, “What can be a greater battle thatthat we have just fought?”He (Salla Allahu ta'ala alayhi wa Sallam), answered, “The battle against one’s nafs.” Imam al-Ghazzali (Rehmatullahi ta'ala alay) says in Ihya al Uloom Vol. IV: “Death cannot destroy the soul, which is the place of Allah’s (Azzawajal) Ma’rifat, because it is something spiritual. Death causes the change of the conditionof soul, and relieves it from the prison of it’s bodily cage. It does not end as Allah (Azzawajal) says “Do not even think of those who are martyred in the way of Allah (Azzawajal) as dead, BUT THEY ARE ALIVE near their lord and given provision. They are joyous of what Allah bestowed upon them of his favour and they give good news to those who have not as yet reached them.” (Surah Al-Imraan, Verse 170).” One should not think that this position is acquired only by those that are martyred on the battlefield, because every breath of an Arif (one who hasrecognized his creator) is a martyr.” From the above quotations we can deduce that if those that fight the smaller battle are alive, then surely, without any doubt, those that fight the greater battle are ALIVE!!! Imam Abu Naeem (Rehmatullahi ta'ala alay), in his book “Hilyaat-ul-Awliya”, narrates from Hadrat Saeed (Rehmatullahi ta'ala alay), that: “By Allah (Azzawajal), Hameed Taweel, and myself were burying Hadrat Thabit Nibhaani (Rehmatullahi ta'ala alay). As we were setting the final rocks, one rock accidentally fell into the grave. As I peeped into the grave, I saw Hadrat Thabit Nibhaani (Rehmatullahi ta'ala alay) was about to perform salaah, and he was imploring to Allah (Azzawajal) in the following manner: ‘O Allah! You have given certain of your creation the permission to perform their salaah within the grave. Give me also this same permission.’ It was indeed beyond the mercy of Allah (Azzawajal) to refuse him.” Hadrat Thabit Nibhaani (Rehmatullahi ta'ala alay) was a Taba’ee (Onesthat saw the Sahaaba after the demise of the Most Beloved Prophet (Salla Allahu ta'ala alayhi wa Sallam).

Reward for Helping Others

Ibn Abbas narrated, Once I was in a state of itikaaf in the Prophet's Mosque (Medina). A certain person came to me and sat down. I said to him, 'O so and so, you look sad'. He said, 'Yes of course, o fraternal brother of the Prophet. So-and-so has his due on me, and by the one who lies in eternal peace in the grave (i.e. Prophet Muhammad), I am not able to pay the debt' I said, 'Should I not talk to him about your debt?' He said, 'You can do so if you like' There upon I put my shoes on and went out of the mosque. The person asked him, 'Have you forgotten the state you were in (i.e. itikaaf)?' I replied, 'Not at all, but I have heard rom the one who lies in eternal peace in the grave [saying this his eyes became filled with tears], said:"One who moves to fulfill any need of his brother, and makes effort for it, will find it better than itikaaf of ten years; and one who performs itikaaf for one day for the pleasure of Allah, he will create a distance of three ditches between him and the hell - and each ditch has a width which lies between East and West, or between the heaven and earth."Source: Al Targhib Vol II p 272.By the blessings of Allah, we are approaching another Ramadan. For most of us, we feel a little taste of hunger during this month only. But there are billions for whom it is a matter of daily life. Let us get immense rewards by helping our needy brothers and sisters around the world during this month of generosity.

CONCEPT OF HAZIR-O-NAZIR 4 PROPHET (SALALAHU ALAIHI WASALAM)

THE CONCEPT OF HAAZIR-O-NAAZIR USED FOR RASOOLULLAH (SALLALLAAHU ALAIHI WASALLAM) 1. Some people believe that Allah Ta'ala is "Omnipresent", that is, Allah Ta’ala is Present and Over-looking at every time and at every place. They believe Allah Ta’ala to be "Haazir" and "Naazir". 2. This is not true, as Allah Ta'ala is not bound by time and space. Allah Ta'ala is Present and Seeing from eternity without time and without space. 3. Allah Ta'ala's Attributes, namely, Life, Knowledge, Power and Speech, are without time and without place, so are Allah Ta’ala’s other attributes. Allah Ta'ala's Attributes always exists and will continue to exist till eternity. 4. There is a great difference between Allah Ta'ala being Present and the souls of His creation being present. No one is present like Allah Ta'ala being Present. 5. The Angels, the souls of Prophets, the souls of the Awliya Allah and the souls of pious Muslims are present at any place where they are called. They were non-existent, before being present. They will seize to exist after a while. The souls of the creation were absent before it became present there, and will be absent some time later. The presence of the souls is with time and with place. 6. Now that we have explained the concept of Allah Ta'ala being Present and clarified our position with regards to the station of the souls in this respect, we will explain the concept of Haazir (present) and Naazir (over-looking) of the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). 7. It is the belief of the Ahle Sunnah Wal Jama’at that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is given power by Allah Ta'ala to be Haazir and Naazir. 8. Some persons say that the Ahle Sunnat Wa Jamaat believes that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is present like Allah Ta’ala is Present. This is totally false because the Ahle Sunnah Wal Jama'at does not have such a belief. 9. The Ulema have used the words "Haazir-o-Naazir" for Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). 10. Allah Ta'ala states in the Holy Quran: "How then if I brought from each people a Witness and brought you (O Muhammad) as a Witness against these people". (Sura al-Nisa: 41) This proves that each Prophet is a Witness for his Ummah, for those who accept Allah Ta'ala and those who reject Him. It also proves that Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) was present before each Ummah, witnessing their deeds. On the Day of Qiyamah, when they will be questioned about their deeds, they will deny it. Then, Allah Ta'ala will bring the Final Messenger (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) as a Witness and he will testify because he was present there when they were practising evil. 11. Imam Khaazin (radi Allahu anhu) states, "To be a witness means to be 'Haazir' or present." (Tafseer Khaazin) 12. Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Haq Muhaddis Delwi (radi Allah anhu) writes: "Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is Haazir-o-Naazir on the deeds of his Ummah". (Haashiya Akhbarul Akhyaar) 13. Allah Ta'ala states in the Holy Quran: "O Prophet! Truly, We have sent you as a Witness, a Bearer of Glad Tidings, and a Warner". (Sura al-Ahzab: 45) Here Allah Ta'ala says that the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is a witness sent by Him concerning men's doings and how they receive Allah Ta'ala's Message. In order to give evidence, a witness has to be present and watching. Even in the Court of Law, a witness is asked, "Did you see the incident taking place?" 14. Allah Ta'ala states in the Holy Quran: "And the Apostle is a Witness over yourselves." (Sura al-Baqarah: 144) Commenting on this Ayah, Hazrat Shah Abdul Aziz Muhaddith Dehlwi (radi Allahu anhu) writes: "The Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is observing everybody, knows their good and bad deeds, and knows the strength of Imaan of every individual Muslim and what has hindered his spiritual progress." (Tafsir Azizi) 15. Allah Ta'ala states in the Holy Quran: "And keep thy soul content with those who call on their Lord morning and evening, seeking His face and let not thine eyes pass beyond them." (Sura Kahaf: 28 ) In this verse Allah Ta'ala is asking Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) to keep a close watch on those people who seek Him. He is asked to observe them day and night. Note that no limitation has been imposed - "observe them during your life and after you assume a veil of departure". This is another proof that the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is watching us 24 hours a day! 16. Allah Ta'ala states in the Holy Quran: "The Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is closer to the Believers than their own selves". (Sura al-Ahzab: 6) Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is with every Muslim. (N.B. Not every Muslim, but every "Mu'min" among the Muslims). That is the reason why the non-Mu'mins feel that Sayyiduna Rasoolullah - sallal laahu alaihi wasallam - is far from them. But it is they who are far from the beloved of Allah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is closer to them than they are to their own selves, irrespective of time and place. He is witnessing their deeds. Allah Ta’ala gives this power to him. 17. It is reported by Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (radi Allahu anhuma) that Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said: "Indeed this entire world is in front of me so that I can observe everything in it. I can see everything in this world and everything that will take place till the Day of Qiyamah. I see the entire world as I see the palm of my hand". (Mawahib-e-Ladunnia) This Hadith Shareef substantiates the belief of the Ahle Sunnah that Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is Haazir and Naazir. 18. Hazrat Qazi Abu Iyaaz (radi Allahu anhu) writes in his "Shifa" that Hazrat Amr bin Dinar (radi Allahu anhu), a Taba'in and Faqih of Makkatul Mukarramah, said: "If you enter a house and find that there is nobody there, say 'May Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam)'". Writing a commentary on this Hadith Shareef, Hazrat Mulla Ali Qari (radi Allahu anhu) says: "This is so because the soul of the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is present in every Muslim home". 19. Hazrat Ali Hameed Saaidi (radi Allahu anhu) has reported that the Messenger of Allah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said: "If any of you enters the Mosque, send Salaams to me, followed by this Du'a: 'O Allah! Open your Door of Blessing for me'". (Abu Dawud, Ibne Majah, Baihaqi) This Hadith proves that Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is present in every Mosque of this world and according to Islam, the entire earth is a Mosque for the Muslims, as reported by Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah (radi Allahu anhu) that Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said: "The entire earth has been made a Mosque for me". (Bukhari Shareef) Thus, the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is present everywhere on earth! 20. The Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) has stated, "Whosoever sees me in his dream then he will soon see me while awake." (Bukhari Shareef; Abu Dawood) Commentating on this Hadith, Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Haq Muhadith Delhwi (radi Allahu anhu) says: "This is glad tidings for those who see the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) in their dreams that after arriving from the darkness of the Nafs and the completion of the desires of the body they have reached this stage that in reality, without any veil in the condition of awakeness they will have this opportunity of seeing him just like the Awliyah Allah who see him while awake. In this text, this Hadith proves that it is possible and proper to see the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) while awake." (Ash Atul Lam'aat) 21. The Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said, "I have been sent towards all the creation of Almighty Allah." (Sahih Muslim Shareef; Mishkaat Shareef) This Hadith Shareef proves that the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is being a witness for those towards whom he was sent as a Prophet. 22. It is written in an authentic Kitaab: "Even due to much objections and differences in the opinions of the Ulema, one does not have any doubt in this case that without any doubt and illusion, the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is continuosly alive and he is Haazir and Naazir in the A'mal of his Ummat and he gives his mercy towards those who turns towards him and he guides them." (Maktoobat Shareef bar Haashia Akhbaarul Akhyaar Shareef) 23. Hazrat Haji Imdaadullah Muhaajir Makki (radi Allahu anhu) writes: "Our Ulema fight in the issue of Meelad Shareef. The Ulema believed in its permissibility as well. When the side of permissibility exists, why then is there so much hardness on this issue? For us, it is sufficient to follow the people of Haramain (Makkah and Medina). At the time of Qiyaam one should not have the belief of Tawallud (that Rasoolullah - sallal laahu alaihi wasallam - is born now). The possibility of the arrival of Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) in the Meelad assembly is not wrong because the bodily world is restricted to time and place, but the spiritual world is free from both. So the arrival of Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is not far from being possible". (Shamaime Imdaadiya) 24. Imam Ahle Sunnat, Hazrat Sayed Ahmed Sa'eed Qazmi (radi Allahu anhu) states: "When the word Haazir-o-Naazir is used for Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam), it does not mean that the physical body of Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is everywhere and that he is present in front of everybody. This in fact means that as the soul exists in every part of the body similarly the light filled reality of the Soul of both the worlds (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) exist in every atom of the worlds. Based on that Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) arrives with his spirituality and lightfulness in many places at one time. Many times, the Pious observe the beauty of Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) in a state of wakefulness with their physical eyes". (Taskeenul Khawatir fi Mas'alatil Haazir wan Naazir) 25. Thus we have learnt that Hazrat Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam), through the Light (Noor) of his Prophethood, knows the faith of every faithful and the degree of his Imaan and also the obstacles which stand in the way of a faithful's spiritual advancement. The Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) knows our sins, and our spiritual status, and our good and bad deeds, and our sincerity and hypocrisy. His witness is the most acceptable in favour of his Ummah. 26. The Soul of Hazrat Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) observes all the souls and living beings. The deeds of the Ummah are presented to Hazrat Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) every morning and every evening and the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) recognizes (each member) of his Ummah through their actions, and hence, he would be a witness for them. Hazrat Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is a witness for the Believers over their faith, for the non-Believers over their apostasy and for the hypocrites over their dual character. 27. There are some mislead individuals who feel it appropriate to believe that Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) has been restricted to his Blessed Grave till the Day of Qiyamah and that it is out of his reach to travel wherever he pleases and to make himself present wherever he pleases. 28. Allah Ta'ala sent all the Prophets to our Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) on the Mi'raj night. He became the Imaam, and they performed two rak'ahs of Salaah. It is thus seen that all the Prophets (alaihimus salaam) made Haaziri (were present) in Musjid al-Aqsa to perform Salaah with our Noble Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) being the Imaam. If Prophets cannot leave their Blessed Graves then how is it that all of the Prophets (alaihimus salaam) were present in Musjid al-Aqsa, on the blessed night of Mi'raj an-Nabi which occured long after the Wisaal of the other Prophets. 29. Shaikh Abd al-Haqq Muhaddith Dehlwi (radi Allahu anhu) states: "Allah Ta'ala has given the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) the strength and power to go anywhere he likes, he can go with his own body or only in soul. On the earth, in the sky, in the grave and the Holy Prophet's (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) connection stays with his own shrine.'' (Madarijun Nabuwat) 30. Imam Jalaaluddeen as-Suyuti (radi Allahu anhu) says, "To keep watch of his own followers' work and to pray for their forgiveness; to pray for their abstention from bad deeds; to come and go in all parts of the world to give auspiciousness; if one pious person dies from his followers then to come and attend his Janazah (funeral), all this is done by the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam)". (Intibahul Azkiyya) 31. It is recorded that at the time of the call to prayer (Adhan) the Shaitaan runs thirty-six miles away and returns in an instant after the completion of the Adhan. (Mishkaat) How can it be, that Allah Ta'ala's Beloved, Huzoor-e-Aqdas Muhammad Mustafa (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is confined to his Blessed Grave while Shaitaan is freely running up and down, and that too, at high speeds! 32. Besides Shaitaan, even Angels have this ability. The Holy Qur'aan says: "...when death comes to any of you, Our Angels take his soul and they do not fail " (Surah al-Anaam: 61). Relating to this it is written that, "For the Angel of Death the whole of the Earth is like a tray, so that he may take the souls as he pleases. There is no difficulty for the Angel of Death to take souls, even though there are many and at many different places !" (Tafseer Kabir Khazeen; Ruh-ul-Bayaan) 33. The speed of Jibra'eel (alaihis salaam) is such that, when Nabi Yusuf (alaihis salaam) was thrown into the well, Jibra'eel (alaihis salaam) travelled from Sidratul Muntaha to the bottom of the well. When Nabi Ibraheem (alaihis salaam) was about to sacrifice Nabi Ismail (alaihis salaam) and had his knife on the neck of Nabi Ismail (alaihis salaam), Jibra'eel (alaihis salaam), travelled from Sidratul Muntaha to the earth with a Ram. 34. The above events relate to an Angel and it's abilities, but men of Allah (Awliya Allah) are also imbued with such powers. Asaf ibn Barkhiya's taking the throne of Bilqis (the Queen of Sheba) to Hazrat Sulaiman (alaihis salaam) is also reported in the Holy Quran, Surah Naml, Verses 39 and 40. 35. It is written in the book "Wahhabiyya": "Tayy al-masaafa, that is, traversing long distances in a moment, is a Karaama (miracle) bestowed upon Awliya'. It is Waajib to believe in this." 36. Ibn Hajar al-Haitami (radi Allahu anhu) wrote in his Fatawa: "The number of those who said that if a Wali (saint) goes to a very distant place in the West (in a short time) after he has performed the evening Salaat and if the sun has not set there yet, he need not perform the evening Salaat for the second time at that place, are many." 37. Concerning the questioning (of the dead person) in the grave, the third question that will be asked by the Angels of the grave is, "Ma kunta taqulu fi haqqi hazar rajul" (meaning : "What did you have to say about this person?" (i.e. the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) When this question is asked the veil is removed from the dead person's eyes so that he can see the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) who will be present (Haazir) in the grave. (Mishkaat Shareef; Bukhaari) From this Hadith we learn that the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is seen by the dead in person and not in some sort of mental thought, because the word "rajul" that is used in the question, in Arabic grammar refers to a real person made of flesh and bones. 38. So it is established that every person that dies sees the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) in his grave in person. Now, at any given time thousands of people around the world are buried and all these people see the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) at the same time and are asked the same question. This is ample proof that the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) by the Grace of Allah Ta'ala can present himself in many places at the same time. All the 'Ulama of Ahl as-Sunna agree with this.
